1989 Texas Rangers Souvenir Program Magazine (Bobby Witt Cover) ^GRUMPYBUCK^

The 1989 Texas Rangers were one of my first favorite teams for several reasons. First of all, they picked up Nolan Ryan, Rafael Palmeiro, and Julio Franco during the offseason, so there was a lot of hype going into the year. Second, we got HSE, a regional sports network that aired Rangers’ games, at my house for the first time.

This program shares everything there is to know about the 1989 Rangers, a team that ended up right around .500. Rather than a late season pennant race, everyone got excited about Nolan’s pursuit of his 5,000th strikeout (which he tallied in August, making Rickey Henderson his victim).

This program is in very good condition. There’s some wear along the binding, but it still reads well.
