Mike Renfro was a clutch possession receiver who became a fan favorite in Houston for his sure hands, precise routes, and big catches in key moments. A steady target for the Oilers’ passing attack, Renfro was part of the tough, gritty teams that made deep playoff pushes in the late ’70s and early ’80s.
