With the goggles, the leaping grabs, and the flair for the spectacular, John Jefferson was one of the most electrifying receivers of the early ’80s. As a centerpiece of the "Air Coryell" offense in San Diego, Jefferson posted three straight 1,000-yard seasons to start his career and became a Pro Bowl mainstay with his acrobatic catches and fearless routes over the middle.
