When healthy, Bill Walton was simply unstoppable — a brilliant passer, rebounder, and defender who anchored the Portland Trail Blazers’ magical 1977 title run. A two-time NBA champion and Hall of Famer, Walton’s combination of basketball IQ and unselfish play made him one of the most unique big men the game has ever seen. By 1979, he was battling injuries but still respected as a game-changing presence in the paint.
