Steve Carlton was a force on the mound — a four-time Cy Young Award winner and Hall of Famer who anchored the Phillies' rotation for over a decade. Known for his nasty slider and fierce competitive streak, "Lefty" racked up over 4,000 strikeouts and helped lead Philadelphia to a World Series title in 1980.
