Willie Long was part of the final chapters of the ABA’s colorful and fast-paced run, playing for the Spirits of St. Louis — one of the league’s most legendary and short-lived franchises. Known for his time at New Mexico State and his hustle on the court, Long was among the many players who helped define the ABA’s high-flying, wide-open style.
